Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime - Police Cruiser

Make a Donation

MORE THAN EVER, the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime needs your financial support to continue offering important resources and services to victims of crime across Canada. Unfortunately, as of December 31, 2009, the Canadian Police Association is no longer providing us with operational funding. Please consider making a small donation which will make a BIG difference.

Your kind donation will enable us to continue to:

  • Actively voice the interests of victims of crime to Government, at all levels;
  • Promote the interests of public safety;
  • Advocate on behalf of crime victims in order to help them obtain needed services and resources;
  • Act as a resource centre for victims and others requiring information about the criminal justice system;
  • Act as agents for victims of crime wanting information from the National Parole Board (NPB) and/or Correctional Service Canada (CSC);
  • Accompany victims of crime to parole hearings;
  • Attend parole hearings on behalf of victims of crime;
  • Help victims understand the information they receive from the NPB and/or CSC;
  • Help victims understand their rights under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act;
  • Arrange tours of prisons for victims and accompany them on tours;
  • Assist victims in obtaining and understanding Board of Investigation Reports;
  • Communicate with CSC/NPB officials on behalf of victims; and
  • Provide assistance to victims of federal offenders on conditional release.
