It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must share that our dear board member and friend, Elaine Orr, passed away on August 9, 2019.

Elaine is taken from us unexpectedly and far too soon. A survivor and fierce advocate for women everywhere, she will be so missed by so many. From her hilarious tweets, to her tireless effort and work in regard to domestic violence, to her love for numbers and bookkeeping (not percentages though!) …our world won’t be quite the same without her.

Our deepest sympathies and thoughts are with her friends and family during this difficult time.

At Elaine’s request, no service will be held.

The Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime offers support, research and education to survivors and stakeholders.
